Rams vs Titans Prediction & NFL Odds for Week 9
- Adrian Peterson will look sharp in his Titans debut
- Matthew Stafford will pick apart the Titans secondary
- Rams defense will aim to stop the pass with Derrick Henry out
The Los Angeles Rams (7-1) will host the Tennessee Titans (6-2) at SoFi Stadium on Sunday Night Football.
The biggest story heading into this one is that Tennessee star running back Derrick Henry is expected to miss 6-10 weeks after having foot surgery. However, some other noteworthy headlines revolve around a couple of future Hall of Famers.
The Titans signed running back Adrian Peterson to help make up for the absence of Henry, while the Rams strengthened their defense by trading for Broncos legend Von Miller. These are two very good teams, and even without Henry, Tennessee will look to upset the Rams at their home stadium.

Rams vs Titans Prediction: Spread
The Rams have looked excellent this season. The addition of Miller only enhances an already impressive defensive unit, and Matthew Stafford has posted MVP-like numbers while the rest of the offense has looked tremendous.
For the Titans, they will need an outstanding effort from their defense if they want to beat the spread. If Peterson and the running game can consistently move the chains, that could provide opportunities for Ryan Tannehill to find receivers in the endzone and make this a closer game.
While I expect Los Angeles to win the game, I’m not sold on the original 7.5 point spread.

Rams vs Titans Prediction: MoneyLine
Even with a strong run defense, running back Darrell Henderson Jr. will make it difficult on the Titans. He has been a pleasant surprise for LA this season and is coming off of a performance that saw him rush for 90 yards and score a touchdown.
So factor in Henderson Jr. and the running game with Stafford, Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, and the elite Rams passing offense and you have to believe there is no chance the Titans offense can keep up.
While we might have a shootout on our hands, expect the Rams to pull out the victory at home.

Rams vs Titans Prediction: Total
This is a Rams unit that has scored 26 points or more in each game this season except for a Week 4 loss against the talented Arizona Cardinals. They are going to score points against Tennessee, especially through the air.

The Titans need wide receiver Julio Jones to suit up for Week 9 if they want to have a chance at pulling off the upset. Jones is currently listed as questionable, but his presence would give Ryan Tannehill another quality receiving option other than A.J. Brown. It will be interesting to see how the Tennessee running game performs in this one as well.
I would take the over on the original total in this game.
