Rams vs Seahawks Prediction & NFL Odds for Week 5

by Allyson ParkOctober 7, 2021
  • Matthew Stafford vs Russell Wilson
  • Seahawks defense has been weak this season
  • Expect a high-scoring game

In the fifth week of the NFL regular season, the Los Angeles Rams (3-1) travel to Lumen Stadium to take on the Seattle Seahawks (2-2,) with kickoff set for Thursday night at 8:20 pm EST.

The Rams, who are currently second in the NFC West, arguably the most difficult division in the NFL, are hoping to bounce back after last week’s 20-37 loss to the Arizona Cardinals. The Seahawks, on the other hand, aim to get another win off the momentum of Sunday’s 28-21 victory against the San Francisco 49ers.

Betting Odds & Lines for This Game

Rams vs Seahawks Prediction: Spread

I think this is going to be a pretty close game, but in the end, I think that the Rams will take this one. The spread is at 2.5 points, and while this will be a close game, I think that the Rams will be able to cover the spread against the Seahawks.

Rams vs Seahawks Prediction: MoneyLine

Buckle up, NFL fans. This is going to be a close one. Even the odds are close for this game.

It could honestly go either way, but I’m going to go with the Rams for this Week 5 matchup. Even though they just lost their first game of the season to the Arizona Cardinals last week, the Rams, led by quarterback Matthew Stafford on offense, have been racking up the points and the wins.

The Rams handed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers their first loss of the season in Week 3 by a considerable margin, and despite playing poorly last week, their performance has been impressive this season.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Cooper Kupp have been a fiery combination this season. Kupp is currently second in the league in receptions (30 so far,) third in receiving yards (431 yards,) and first in touchdowns (5.)

The Seahawks offense has been great this season, especially quarterback Russell Wilson, who has thrown for 1,044 yards and nine touchdowns this season. He hasn’t thrown any interceptions yet, either.

Unfortunately, Seattle’s offense is their only asset, as their defense has been playing terribly as of late, allowing 445 yards per game in their first four games.

The Rams will probably take this game, as their offense has been performing very well, and and the Seahawks’ defense has been shaky. The Rams will probably be able to bounce back after their first loss of the season, so bet them to take this game.

Rams vs Seahawks Prediction: Total

The total for this game is 54.5 points, which is pretty high. I think that both teams’ offenses are very competent and they’re bound to score a lot of points in this game, especially the Rams, since the Seahawks’ defense has not been doing well this season. I think that the over is a good bet.
