Packers vs Saints Prediction: Spread
The Packers are currently listed as 4 point favorites to win this matchup against the New Orleans Saints. They will be out for vengeance this year after losing to the Buccaneers in the NFC Championship last year and looking to make a statement early on. The Saints also had the misfortune of losing to the Bucs last year in the postseason with a game that left a bitter taste in the mouths of every Drew Brees fan. They will also be seeking postseason success once again and a win against the Packers would be a great sign for them to achieve it.
The Saints look to be in good hands under new QB Jameis Winston who led the conference in Passer rating this preseason, posting an impressive 124.8 through both games. The loss of Michael Thomas will surely be a hit to the Saints but Jameis has shown he can succeed without him thus far.

Packers vs Saints Prediction: MoneyLine
The Packers looked sharp all of training camp once the reigning NFL MVP, Aaron Rodgers, returned to the field. With him also came longtime Packers receiver Randall Cobb who the Packers acquired from the Texans for a 2022 sixth round pick. Cobb will again be used primarily as a reliable slot receiver who Rodegrs can look to get the ball to quickly. This is a dimension the Packers haven’t had since Cobb left after the 2018 season and will make this explosive offensive that much more difficult to defend.
The Saints have changed hands and are now led by Jameis Winston who looks like he has significantly improved his decision making and passing abilities with his years studying under former Saints Quarterback, Drew Brees. Winston also has benefited greatly from Lasik eye surgery this offseason and can reportedly see his targets much more clearly. This seems to be true as Winston completed the longest Touchdown throw by any Saints Quarterback since 2016 in the preseason game against the Jaguars. Winston looks like he could lead this Saints team deep into the playoffs if he continues this new found success.

Packers vs Saints Prediction: Total
The Packers have the higher powered scoring offense and last year seemed to be able to score at will with the elite trio of Aaron Rodgers, Davante Adams, and Aaron Jones. The saints defense will be able to hold up fairly well against them but the losses of Trey Hendrickson, Janoris Jenkins, and Sheldon Rankins will surely be big blows to this defensive squad. The Saints offense will surely lose some firepower with Michael Thomas being out for the game and Packers All-Pro cornerback Jaire Alexander will likely continue to shut down any other WR1 the Saints decide to use.
