Lions vs Ravens Prediction & NFL Odds For Week 3

by Devin WeberSeptember 21, 2021
  • Ravens will win the game
  • The Ravens will cover the spread
  • The game will not meet the total point predictions

The Ravens just won a fierce game against the Chiefs. During the time of this article the lions are losing to the Packers big. Not a big surprise, but the Ravens are huge favorites for this week three matchup.

The spread is double digits, and usually that’s huge for the NFL, but we can see why this game is predicted to be a blow out. Who will win, and will the Ravens be as dominant as oddsmakers say. Find out now in my free prediction of the game.

Betting Odds & Lines for This Game

  • Spread: Ravens -9 at -105 | Lions +9 at -115
  • MoneyLine: Ravens -420 | Lions +320
  • Total: Over 49.5 at -110 | Under 49.5 at +320

Lions vs Ravens Prediction: Spread

PointsBet has the spread being 10.5 for the Ravens, and we have the Ravens covering the spread. The Lions have not looked good the past two weeks, yes they did only lose by 8 to the 49ers, but they scored a lot in garbage time. The Ravens beat one of the best teams in the NFL.

There are still a lot of questions for the Ravens, but winning the Lions will not be one. They’ll easily cover the spread if they played last week. If they play like week one, they’ll have a harder time. However we expect them to play like they did against the Chiefs.

Lions vs Ravens Prediction: MoneyLine

The Ravens are huge favorites for their week three matchup. The Lions look to be outclassed against the Ravens. Even if the Ravens play badly, they should have enough talent to win the game.

Jackson will have a great chance to get back on track after having quite a few turnovers in the first two weeks. If the Lions want to win they’ll have to play, like they did in the final minutes against the 49ers. The Lions also looked decent in the first half of the Packers game.

If the Lions have any hope they must hope for Lamar Jackson to struggle. If Lamar struggles, then the Lions must capitalize on Jackson’s turnovers. This is a game where the Ravens probably win if the Lions play their best football.

Lions vs Ravens Prediction: Total

The final score is expected to be 49.5 total points. We have this game being under with the Ravens scoring 31 and the Lions 17. The Ravens will hold their share of the bargain, but the Lions will not.

The Lions seem to be a team where they struggle to score 20 points per game. The Packers defense was struggling, and they limited the Lions to 17 points. The Ravens are a team where the defense has been struggling, but I trust it against the Lions.

The Ravens have a high powered offense and they have it soon, and the Lions defense has been awful the first two weeks. The Ravens will score what they want, but with a rushing offense it will limit their total points.

Prop Predictions

The Ravens’ Lamar Jackson will have a very good game. He’ll only have about 200 yards and 1 or two passing yards, but he will be the leading rusher for the Ravens. He’ll lead the Ravens to 2 scores on the ground and over 125 yards.

The Lions will struggle, and this will affect Jared Goff day. He’ll have over 200 yards, but he’ll have a couple turnovers, and one passing touchdown. It might be time for the Lions to start looking for the quarterback of the future.
