In the seventh week of the NFL season, the New York Jets (1-4) travel to Gillette Stadium to take on the New England Patriots (2-4) in an AFC East matchup. The kickoff is slated for Sunday at 1 pm EST.
The Jets, who are currently third in the AFC East, are hoping to get their second win of the season this week, as they are entering into this game off of their bye week. The Patriots, second in the division behind the 4-2 Buffalo Bills, will aim to close the gap between them and Buffalo, as they just loss in overtime to the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday.

Jets vs Patriots Prediction: Spread
I fully expect the Patriots to cover the spread for this game. The Jets don’t have what it takes to win this game, and they have also been struggling with scoring this season. I think the Patriots will comfortably win this game and cover the spread at 6.5 points.
Free Prediction: New England Patriots to cover the spread (-6.5)
Jets vs Patriots Prediction: MoneyLine
I don’t think I’m surprising anyone when I say that I’m taking the Patriots for this Week 7 AFC East matchup. Even though they have a record of 2-4, they are currently second in the division. The Patriots haven’t exactly been a reliable team this season, but to be fair, three of their four losses have been by only one score.
I expect this game to also be a one-score win for the Patriots. Although their record doesn’t show it, the Pats have actually played decent offense under the leadership of Mac Jones, who has slowly improved over these past six weeks.

The New York Jets have been an incredibly slow team this season, struggling to score points and winning only one of their six games. They have combined to score only 67 points, averaging 13.4 points per game. Quarterback Zach Wilson has struggled with being consistent in his first NFL season
This is actually the second meeting of the season for these two teams. In Week 2, the Patriots demolished the Jets 25-6. While I think the Pats will win comfortably, I don’t think it will exactly be a blowout this time, as the Jets have been playing slightly less horribly.

Jets vs Patriots Prediction: Total
The total for this game is currently set at 42.5. Ultimately, I think that the Jets’ struggles with scoring won’t be enough to push both these teams to combine for over 42.5 points. The Patriots’ offense is capable of scoring points, but the Jets will probably have trouble in the red zone. I think that the under is a good bet for this game.
