Dolphins vs Raiders Prediction: Spread
The most significant question mark coming into this game is the status of Dolphins QB Tua Tagoviloa. He is currently day-to-day with bruised ribs and will play based on his pain level. If Jacoby Brissett is the Dolphins QB, then I think Vegas should easily beat the spread.
Las Vegas is arguably the best passing offense in the league. Through two weeks, the Raiders lead the league in passing yards and rank 9th in passing touchdowns. They also rank sixth in first downs, tenth in third downs, and eleventh in fourth downs.
Even if Miami starts Tua, I don’t think they can keep up. For his nine games started, Tua has averaged 200 yards, 1.2 TDs, and .6 interceptions. That isn’t good enough to keep up with the Raiders. Last season, the Raiders averaged 263 yards, 1.75 passing TDs, and .6 interceptions.
And while the Dolphins may have a better defense than the Raiders, the Raiders were still able to score 26 on the Steelers, and the Steelers have a better defense than the Dolphins.
Miami is 1-1 against the spread. Las Vegas is 2-0.
- Free Prediction: The Las Vegas Raiders will beat the spread.
Dolphins vs Raiders Prediction: MoneyLine
As I said in the spread predictions, I think that the Raiders are going to win this game and beat the spread. Vegas has a great passing offense this season, and Miami is going to struggle to keep up.
The only way I can see Miami winning this game is by their defense really stepping up and playing more like they did last season. Last season Miami ranked first in both interceptions and turnovers and played well in the red zone ranking fourth. If that defense plays against the Raiders, the Dolphins have a chance.

This season, however, Miami ranks 31st in sacks with one, 13th in Interceptions one, and 18th in points. In terms of passing yards they do rank twelfth with 439, but also rank 28th in rushing yards with 268. They are ranked 4th in turnovers with four which is important, but considering their other shortcomings I think Vegas will be able to score enough to win the game.
- Free Prediction: The Las Vegas Raiders will win the game straight up.
Dolphins vs Raiders Prediction: Total
The Raiders are 1-1 in their games hitting the over. They played the Ravens, which turned into a high-paced scoring frenzy. The Raiders also played the Steelers a game that featured the Raiders’ offense taking on a strong Steelers defense. On the other side of the ball, a weaker Raider defense faced off against a bad Steelers offense.
I think that the Dolphins game will be more like the Steelers game. Despite the fact that the Raiders have both an explosive offense and a weak defense, those are essentially canceled out by the Dolphins having a good defense and a weak offense.
- Free Prediction: The game will hit the under on a total of 45.5.

Prop Predictions
Dolphins force a turnover
I think that the Dolphins will continue their streak of forcing at least one turnover a game. In two games, Carr has fumbled three times and has thrown an interception. The Dolphins may not have shown it last weekend, but I think they still have a solid defense.
Raiders rush for less than 100 rushing yards.
A downside of having an incredible passing offense is not having a great rushing attack. The raiders have rushed for 134 yards on 46 attempts, or about an average of 3 yards per attempt.
While the Dolphins didn’t perform well against the rush last week against the Bills (they allowed 143 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns) they did perform a lot better against the Patriots (they allowed 125 rushing yards and 0 touchdowns). Combined with the Dolphins respectable defense, and the fact that Josh Jacobs is missing, I think the Raiders rush for less than 100 yards.
