Dolphins vs Falcons Prediction | Preseason Week 3

As Week 3 of the NFL Preseason continues, the Atlanta Falcons are set to host the Miami Dolphins on Saturday night. Neither team was able to secure a win in Week 2.

The Dolphins ran into Justin Fields and the Bears and took a 20-13 loss last week. Fields looked very good in the matchup. NFL ready to say the least.

Atlanta played the Titans last week, and when we say it was ugly, we mean it. The Titans won the bout 23-3 on the Falcons home turf.

Kickoff is set for 7:00 EST in this matchup, and the game will be broadcast on Fox. DraftKings has the Dolphins favored by 5 just a few days before the matchup. The game total is 36.5.

3 Points??

Most Falcons fans were likely bored and frustrated watching the team lose 23-3 in their first matchup of the season. We have to say, we were too, but also happy to have bet on the Titans.

The starters should see the field a bit more this week, at least, that is the way it has historically been done. With the new preseason and regular season schedule, it’s difficult to project how each team will deal with the starters’ playing time.

DraftKings has the Falcons regular season win total set at 7.5 for the 2021 season. The odds on the under are set at +115. With plus odds and a bad team, this is a bet worth thinking about. They’re at +900 to win the NFC South. Only the Panthers are worse.

Typically deeper teams have better luck in the preseason and the Falcons lack depth and talent this season. It will be tough to bet on them unless they can get a few early wins under their belt.

National Media Focusing on All the Wrong Things Per Usual

The national sports media in this country seems to always be focusing on all of the wrong things at all the wrong times. This week, it was their ignorant focus on Tua Tagavailoa’s lone mistake last weekend.

In the eyes of most Dolphins coaches and fans, Tua played an excellent game and made a mistake. If Tua decides to throw his lone INT about a tenth of a second quicker, it’s 6 points for Miami.

This is exactly what the preseason is supposed to be for. Results really don’t matter. Improving timing, route running, blocking schemes, defensive alignments, etc, is really what matters.

Making sure as a team or as a player, you’re improving every aspect you possibly can before the real action starts. Hopefully, Tua watches the film, sees his mistake, makes a mental note, and moves on. The young man looked pretty good in his first outing of 2021.

The defensive side of the ball seemed completely blindsided by the athleticism and accuracy of Justin Fields. Miami’s defense thrived a season ago, so we shall see what adjustments are made heading into Week 3. This defense is still extremely talented.

The Dolphins and the Patriots have the same odds of winning the AFC East at +350. The Bills have the best odds to win the division at -150.

Dolphins vs Falcons Prediction

Miami is favored by 5 at midweek and to be honest, we like it. Even at only -110. The game total at 36.5 is also attractive. The under is playing at +100.

So let’s make 2 bets or maybe parlay them if you’re feeling lucky.

USA Wager Dolphins vs Falcons Prediction: Take the Dolphins at -5 (-110) and pair it with under 36.5 at (+100). The Dolphins win this game by a final of 20-10.
