In the seventh week of the NFL season, the Denver Broncos (3-3) travel to FirstEnergy Stadium to take on the Cleveland Browns (3-3,) with kickoff slated for Thursday evening at 8:20 pm EST.

The Broncos, who are currently third in the AFC West, are hoping to bounce back with a win after losing to the Las Vegas Raider 24-34 last week. The Browns, who are third in the AFC North, are also hoping to get a win after a devastating 14-37 loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday.

Broncos vs Browns Prediction: Spread

I’m going against the odds this week. I’m taking the underdogs, the Denver Broncos, to win this game. The Browns are too injury-ridden to pull off a win in this game, especially without Baker Mayfield. I expect the Broncos to be able to cover the two-point spread in this Week 7 game.

Broncos vs Browns Prediction: MoneyLine

Both these teams have had ups and downs this season, and they’re now both in mediocre positions going into this Week 7 AFC matchup game. While they both have been less-than-great this season, I think they both have the ability and potential to bounce back.

That being said, I’m going to go against the odds and take the Denver Broncos for this game. I think that the Browns are far too banged up to win this game, especially since the news broke early Wednesday morning that their starting quarterback, Baker Mayfield, will be sitting on the bench this week.

The Browns aren’t in great shape for this game. Here is a list of key players on injured reserve for Week 7: Baker Mayfield (quarterback,) Odell Beckham Jr (wide receiver,) Nick Chubb (runningback,) Kareem Hunt (runningback,) Jedrick Wills Jr (offensive tackle,) Jack Conklin (offensive tackle,) JC Tretter (center,) Jadeveon Clowney (defensive end,) Malcolm Smith (linebacker.)

QB Teddy Bridgewater (foot/quad), LT Garett Bolles (knee) and S Caden Sterns (illness) are all QUESTIONABLE for #DENvsCLE.

There are far too many offensive players on this list. I think these injuries and the absence of these players will make a huge difference in this game. It will make a big difference for the Browns, especially when it comes to their offense.

The Browns will be led by their backup quarterback Case Keenum, who is reliable and has a lot of experience, but he has not started in an NFL game since 2019. Keenum is certainly a downgrade from Mayfield, but I think he’ll be able to keep the game close.

The Broncos are underdogs for this game, but since half of the Browns’ offensive starters seem to be hurt, I think they will be able to pull off the wind. They didn’t exactly play well last week, as they got blown out by the Las Vegas Raiders. Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater was sacked a whopping five times.

However, the Browns are not the Raiders, and I expect that the Broncos will be able to make the necessary adjustments and have enough motivation to bounce back this week and pull off an underdog win this week.

To me, picking the Broncos is more about the fact that the Browns are incapable of winning, not that the Broncos are competent. Ultimately, I think the Browns are without too many key players to pull off a win, and I expect the Broncos to be able to take advantage of that.

The total for this game is currently set at 41.5. While the Broncos and the Browns have been struggling with winning games, they haven’t exactly fallen short when it comes to scoring points. That has not been an issue for either team this season, so I would bet the over for this game.
