Bills vs Jaguars Prediction & NFL Odds for Week 9

by Jacob DeanNovember 4, 2021
  • Jaguars are coming off a tough loss after first win
  • Bills looked sluggish despite win over Dolphins
  • AFC is wide open for Buffalo thanks to KC struggles

The Buffalo Bills are headed out on the road to face off against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday at TIAA Bank Field. The Bills are coming off a well-earned win over the Miami Dolphins in Week 8. Despite never leading in the game, Miami gave the Bills all they could handle through the first three quarters but the Bills were able to come away with a 26-11 win. Buffalo was not impressive in this game but they came away with a win and that’s all that matters even if it was against one of the low-tier teams in the league.

On the other end, the Jacksonville Jaguars lost to the Seattle Seahawks 31-7. Fresh off their first win of the season many expected them to have a chance to earn win no. 2 this season but Geno Smith who was filling in for the injured Russell Wilson took all the momentum right out of the Jaguars.

Bills vs Jaguars Prediction: Spread

The Jaguars are coming off another ugly loss this season pushing their record to 1-7 and while they get to play a home game, it happens to be against one of the premier teams in the NFL. The Jaguars gave up 31 points to a Geno Smith led the team and that is somewhat of an issue.

This team also features the league’s worst defense in terms of yards allowed per play and that is an area the Bills excel in as they lead the NFL in that category.

This game has blowout written all over it, as the BIlls should shake off the rust from last week’s sluggish contest. Be confident in taking the Bills to cover at 14.5

Bills vs Jaguars Prediction: MoneyLine

The previous game for the Bills was pretty ugly as they were routed by the Tennessee Titans on Monday night football. It was a quick turnaround for the Bills so that could be a little bit of an excuse for the performance against the Dolphins this past weekend.

Josh Allen had one of his worst games of the year last week but his 249 yards and two touchdowns were just enough to help his team escape and beat the Miami Dolphins. While there might be some questions surrounding this team there is no denying how talented and gifted this offense is.

Bills vs Jaguars Prediction: Total

As stated earlier, the Jaguars own the league’s worst defense and have only won one win on the season. There is no denying this team is going nowhere anytime soon and playing for the No. 1 pick in next year’s draft is in their sights. Trevor Lawerence has had some positive moments on the season but this team lacks star talent outside of him. The Bills have a strong defense that will give this team issues trying to score.

The Bills are explosive and are loaded with talent all over the field. This team has shown they can put up points even in a week where they really struggle. Expect a bounce-back performance by this team and a heavy dose of points but outside of their points, that defense will keep the Jags off the board.
