Bears vs Rams Prediction & NFL Odds for Week 1
- LA Rams -7.5 (-110)
- Over 46 (-110)
- Cooper Kupp to score (+110)
The Bears vs Rams game is one of three games in week 1 with a spread of 7.5 points, along with the Cowboys vs Buccaneers and 49ers vs Lions. Unsurprisingly, the Rams enter the game as the favorite as they look toward another strong season. Both teams will be sporting new Quarterbacks acquired during the offseason. Matt Stafford is starting for the Rams, and Andy Dalton is starting for the Bears, though, rookie and 11th overall pick Justin Fields will be ready to go if Dalton struggles.
The Rams enter the game with a two-game win streak over the Bears, beating them in both 2019 and 2020, and this year appears to be on track to continue that winning streak. In the previous two meetings, the Rams have outscored the Bears 41-20. Furthermore, the Bears did very little this offseason to immediately improve their team, whereas the Rams got stronger at Quarterback and returned with a solid WR core.

Bears vs Rams Prediction: Spread
The Rams are significantly better than the Bears on both offense and defense. Matt Stafford has the right weapons around him to prove that he’s a top-tier QB and is going to exploit a weak Bears defense. Look for the Rams to score early in front of the hometown crowd and cover the 7.5 point spread against the Bears.
While this is tied for the biggest spread of all games in Week 1, I think the safe bet is to cover the spread. The crowd will be cheering in their new stadium for the first time, and Sean McVay and Company will want to impress their new fans.

Bears vs Rams Prediction: MoneyLine
There is a 7.5 point spread in this one for a reason. I fully expect the Rams to run away with this one in a not-so-close opener. Even if Khalil Mack and the Bears’ defense can contain a high-powered Rams offense, I don’t see the Bears scoring much with Aaron Donald in Andy Dalton’s (or Justin Fields’ for that matter) face all night.
- Free Prediction: Rams 31, Bears 16
Bears vs Rams Prediction: Total
This is the first game of the year, and the first time these defenses are seeing opposing offenses at full speed. With the ability to spread the ball to Wide Receivers coupled with a serious threat at Running Back, the Rams are going to score at will and really carry this game to the over.
I can’t see the Bears contributing overwhelmingly to the total, but I do see them scoring just enough to keep the pressure on the Ram’s offense to keep their foot on the pedal.
- Free Prediction: Over 46 (-110)
Being the first week of games, there aren’t very many good prop bets that look too enticing. For that reason, I’m taking what I think to be easy money on the LA Rams Team Total Points Over 27.5 bet. Paying close to even money (-105), I think this is a safe prop bet with a decent payout. The Rams will want to impress the home crowd in their first game with fans at SoFi Stadium.
