Bears vs Raiders Prediction & NFL Odds for Week 5
- Justin Fields throws career-high yards and scores first career passing Touchdown
- Derek Carr throws 2 interceptions
- Josh Jacobs is held to under 50 rushing yards
This week’s game between the Bears and Raiders is a vital one for both teams. The Raiders are currently in a three-way tie for first in the AFC West and the Bears are just one game behind the Packers in the NFC North.
Both teams have looked good and both teams have now looked bad after the Raiders suffered their first loss of the season at the hands of Justin Herbert and the Chargers. The Raiders look to get back on track and the Bears hope to continue their newly started win streak.

Bears vs Raiders Prediction: Spread
So far the spread likes the Raiders by a pretty decent margin which is fair to say but I must disagree and pisco the Bears. Many question the Bears rookie QB, Justin Fields and rightfully so.
Justin Fields still has not thrown a touchdown in his NFL career and he hasn’t been able to get much of anything going on the offense. He only attempted 17 passes against the Lions and while he did complete 11 of them he did throw an interception and largely relied on the running game.

Derek Carr didn’t have a terrible performance against the Chargers but he wasnt great either, throwing less than 200 yards after averaging over 400 YPG over the first three games. Unfortunately for Carr, he will now be throwing against a similarly talented Bears secondary while also dealing with a front 7 that has generated 15 sacks through 4 games.

Bears vs Raiders Prediction: MoneyLine
Josh Jacobs has yet to muster 50 yards in a game and that doesn’t look to change against this powerful Bears front 7. That coupled with a Bears secondary that is similarly talented to the group Carr struggled against in the Chargers will make for a long game for the Raiders
Justin Fields has looked rough in his first snaps but I believe that changes this week against a Raiders secondary that ranks 24th in pass completions. Fields just needs some time to get some passes under his belt and get into a rhythm. It won’t be easy but Field’s first touchdown pass should be this week.

Bears vs Raiders Prediction: Total
The total this week is at a relatively low 44 points but I think it’s a fair one. It’ll be close seeing as both offenses look to be beginning to struggle and it will come down to who has the better defense in the red zone. Both teams can move the ball up the field but both teams’ offenses rank towards the bottom of the league in red-zone touchdown percentage. Take the under this week.
