Wisconsin vs Illinois Prediction & College Football Odds for Week Six
- Wisconsin will run for 200 or more yards
- Illinois will turn the ball over three times
- Wisconsin will allow less than 300 yards of offense
The Wisconsin Badgers head to Illinois to take on the Fighting Illini in a game that is between two teams fighting for wins. The Badgers are an uncharacteristic 1-3 this year while Illinois sits at 2-4. Wisconsin is much better than their record would indicate while Illinois might be a bit worse. This is going to be a game that both teams look to win to take control of their seasons.
Wisconsin’s three losses have come to ranked opponents this year as they have played three top 20 teams. However, they have gotten blown out in their last two games as they have lost by a combined 79-30 to #12 Notre Dame and #14 Michigan. Illinois lone wins have come against Nebraska and Charlotte. Neither of those teams are very good. I think that Wisconsin has the clear resume advantage here.

Wisconsin vs Illinois Prediction: Spread
Wisconsin has played some really tough competition so far this year which has led to a lopsided record. If you look at their offensive and defensive stats, they are really solid. Wisconsin only allows 250.5 yards a game and will be up against an Illinois offense that really struggles to move the ball. I am looking for Wisconsin’s offense to break out this weekend and give Illinois a very tough game on both sides.
- Free Prediction: Wisconsin -10
Wisconsin vs Illinois Prediction: MoneyLine
Wisconsin should easily cruise in this game. They are battle-tested and Illinois is just downright awful. This is going to be a game where Illinois will need to play close to perfect and they have not done that yet this year. Illinois has also been blown out by the likes of Virginia and UTSA this year which are teams much worse than Wisconsin. Look for Wisconsin to easily handle the Fighting Illini.

Wisconsin vs Illinois Prediction: Total
Combined these teams are scoring 38 points a game while giving up 40 points a game. I think that Wisconsin’s defense is a little better than how they’ve been performing this year so far. Illinois’ defense is so bad this year that Wisconsin could hit 42 points by themselves. Virginia and UTSA were both above 37 and I would not say they are better offensively than Wisconsin.
- Free Prediction: Over 42 points
