Stanford vs Utah Prediction & College Football Odds for Week 10

by Devin WeberNovember 2, 2021
  • Utah will win the game.
  • Utah will not cover the spread
  • The game will be over the predicted total points.

Stanford is a disappointing 3-5 coming into these week five matchup. Utah has also not had the season they predicted since making it two straight Pac-12 championships (Utah 5-3). Both teams still can make a bowl game and for Stanford, the winning has to start now.

Stanford is a 1 win in the conference and that came against Oregon (ranked 7th). Utah has four wins in the conference with a loss to Oregon State. Both teams will play each other tuff, and will be a major game for both schools.

Stanford vs Utah Prediction: Spread

The spread for the game is 7 points for Utah to cover. Utah is a good football team, but Stanford will play Utah tough. However, Utah will still cover the spread, with the help of their great offense.

Stanford’s defense won’t be able to contain Utah’s offense, unless they have a day like they had against Oregon. When you have a poor defense that hasn’t played well; I’ll take Utah’s offense. Utah should be able to score almost at will against Stanford.

Stanford has also had some games where they turn over the ball a lot, if that happens Utah will easily cover the spread. It’s looking bad for Stanford this week.

Free pick: Utah will cover the 7 point spread.

Stanford vs Utah Prediction: Moneyline

Stanford might not have a good team, but they have pulled off a few upsets. We all know about the Oregon game and if they can play like that, they should win the game. However, since the Oregon game, Stanford has not played good football.

We can look at statistics and see that Utah has an advantage in almost every category. Simply that tells us that Utah is better and right now I believe that to be the case. Stanford is not a terrible team, but they’re still not at a level where they can win consistently.

Stanford will score and probably make the game close for a major portion of the game. Utah will end up scoring more than 30 and take a double digit lead. Stanford will have to play from behind most of the game.

Free pick: Utah will win the game.

Stanford vs Utah Prediction: Points

Utah is averaging about 33 points per game, and Stanford is averaging around 26 points per game. From that it seems like the game will be high scoring and be over the total. I do predict this and this game will be a shoot out.

This will be an offensive game, so if you like high scoring games, check it out. Utah will score early and Stanford will follow, but in the second half Stanford will cool down. When that happens Utah will take control.

Both teams will be red hot and it will be fun to watch. We also might see a few turnovers by both teams. The final score will be something like Utah 42 to Stanford 31.

Free pick: The game will be over the 54 predicted total points.
