Ohio State vs Nebraska Prediction & College Football Odds for Week 10
- Nebraska is 23rd in the nation in total yards but ranks 108th in red zone scoring percentage
- Nebraska is a much better team than what their record says, the most points they lost by this season was eight points which was to Illinois in the beginning of the year
- Ohio State has the second-best offense in the country as they score 47.3 points per game
In this week ten matchup, the Ohio State Buckeyes (7-1) only loss came against the Oregon Ducks earlier in the season. Ohio State may have a really good record, but they did not play their best game against Penn State. The most points they allowed in the last six games was against Penn State (24 points), but they also played teams like Rutgers, Maryland, and Indiana just to name a few that aren’t much competition.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers (3-6) and are 1-5 in the Big 10. However, their record does not tell the whole story as they have been in every game they played this game especially against harder opponents this season. Nebraska has played teams like Oklahoma, Michigan State, Michigan, and Purdue last week.

Ohio State vs Nebraska Prediction: Spread
The Nebraska Cornhuskers will be awaiting the Ohio State Buckeyes on Saturday. The spread is much closer for the Buckeyes than their last game when they faced Penn State. Nebraska’s defense hasn’t been great, but they do just enough to stay in the game. QB Adrian Martinez is coming off a rough game against Purdue as he had two touchdowns and four interceptions.

Ohio State is coming off a win over Penn State, which wasn’t their best game. However, their team has improved from the beginning of the season. Penn State is on a three-game after their most recent loss, but they match up well in regards to athleticism.
Nebraska is 5-1 against the spread in their last six games, and Ohio State is 8-1 in nine head-to-head matchups. How close the game is really depends on whether or not QB Adrian Martinez can bounce back as he is a dual-threat quarterback.
The Cornhuskers may also have a tough time running the ball this game because the Buckeyes are tenth in opponent rushing yards and first in their last three games.
It really comes down to how Martinez performs in this game. It’s hard to count out Scott Frost and his team in any game this season, but Ohio State could pull away in the fourth as
TreVeyon Henderson did have a 68 yard gain towards the end of the third quarter after being held in check all game.
- Free Prediction: Ohio State -14.5
Ohio State vs Nebraska Prediction: MoneyLine
Ohio State is heavy favorites in this game as they should be. The MoneyLine simply has no value unless you take a chance with Nebraska to pull off a major upset. Ohio State is perfect in their last twelve away games. Ohio State will be focused due to the college football playoff race.
Even if Nebraska somehow pulls off a major upset on Saturday, the program will still have to win every game this season just to be bowl eligible. The loss last week to Purdue might be deflating as the special teams unit can’t seem to keep it together in close games.
- Free Prediction: Ohio State (-800)
Ohio State vs Nebraska Prediction: Total
Martinez is prone to making mistakes, which means Nebraska may have trouble putting points on the board. The total has hit the over in 10 of the last 14 games for Ohio State, but the under has hit in four of the last five games against a Big Ten East opponent for Nebraska.
