North Carolina vs Wake Forest Prediction & College Football Odds for Week 10

by Ryan BurksNovember 2, 2021
  • Wake Forest has its perfect season come to an end on Saturday
  • North Carolina covers the slight spread on Saturday morning
  • Expect a high-scoring affair, but the under hits.

The race to the ACC Championship is still wide open, but things will be decided in the final few weeks of the season. The North Carolina Tar Heels host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Saturday and this will be an interesting matchup.

North Carolina was expected to be a title contender this season, but things have not gone that well for the Tar Heels. The Tar Heels come into this game with an overall record of 4-4, and they suffered a ten-point loss in Week 9.

Wake Forest has been the most surprising team in the country this season as they are a perfect 8-0. The Demon Deacons have played a relatively easy schedule up to this point, but taking on the Tar Heels in Chapel Hill won’t be an easy task.

Betting Odds & Lines for This Game

North Carolina vs Wake Forest Prediction: Spread

Wake Forest is scoring over 43 points per game this season, but they have been able to pick on the weaker teams on the schedule. The Demon Deacons needed overtime to get past Syracuse on the road, and there are still some holes on the team.

North Carolina appears to be playing better, but the defense just continued to let them down at Notre Dame. The Tar Heels must get stops on Saturday, but UNC has the ability to score as well.

This game has all of the makings of being a close battle, and it should come down to the final possession. North Carolina gets a late score to win the game and cover the small spread at home.

North Carolina vs Wake Forest Prediction: MoneyLine

Wake Forest has been perfect this season when it comes to their record, but they have struggled at times. Even though North Carolina is just 4-4 on the year, the Tar Heels might have more overall talent than the Demon Deacons.

The Tar Heels gave Notre Dame a scare last weekend and that experience should help North Carolina in this game. Wake Forest hasn’t been tested since October 9, and that will make them vulnerable.

The Demon Deacons are going to play well again, but they are going to get beat in this game. There is value in taking North Carolina at -135 and they are the right pick.

  • Free Prediction: North Carolina -135

North Carolina vs Wake Forest Prediction: Total

Both of these teams want to play fast, and each team will be taking some deep shots down the field. This should lead to an exciting game, but don’t expect this to be an up-and-down game as expected.

North Carolina knows that it needs to get some stops to win this game, and they will also be looking to run the football. The Tar Heels defense should play a key role in the outcome, and it will also have an effect on the total numbers of points.

The winning team doesn’t score more than five touchdowns on Saturday, and the total number of points will be less than 70.
