MLB Division Winner Betting Odds 7/4/2022
Closing in on halfway through the MLB season, divisions have had a fair share of movement. From Boston moving from the bottom of the AL East to 2nd place, and some divisions relying on a single game, stakes are high in Major League Baseball.
As the divisions rattle, so do baseball bettors. Changes in division standing have impacted odds to a significant degree, and today I will show you the MLB division winner betting odds (according to DraftKings) and what they mean.

AL East:
– NY Yankees -2500
– TOR Blue Jays +2200
– BOS Red Sox +4000
– TB Rays +7000
– BAL Orioles +100000
The middle of the AL East is almost at a standstill. With Boston in 2nd being only two games ahead of Tampa in 4th, Toronto is sandwiched in between. These teams are in a battle for second at this point, with the Yankees ahead by 13, but the middle three are still battling for the wild card.
AL Central:
– MIN Twins +115
– CHI White Sox +135
– CLE Guardians +350
– DET Tigers + 30000
-KC Royals +80000
In a much more top-heavy division, despite the odds, the Twins and Guardians are in clearest contention for first, with the Twins having 5 more wins in 5 more games played. Despite the difference in record, these teams are neck and neck for first, with the White Sox trailing a bit behind.
AL West:
– HOU Astros -20000
– LA Angels +6000
– SEA Mariners +7000
– TEX Rangers +12000
– OAK Athletics +100000
As much as an Angels’ bet looks enticing, they are now ranked second to last in the division. The Astros are the clear winner, but the Mariners swept in going 7-3 in their last 10 to earn the No. 2 spot. If the Astros somehow lose 15 games in a row, the Mariners are the best bet due to their hot streak and incredible defense.
National League
NL East:
– NY Mets -200
– ATL Braves +165
– PHI Phillies +1500
– MIA Marlins +12000
– WAS Nationals +100000
Honestly, unlike the odds say, the division is much closer than it seems. The Mets are on a bit of a cold streak, and only have 3 wins over the Braves. Even the Phillies are in contention, sitting behind the Mets by 7 wins. Although they do have a bit of a margin, either of these teams could catch fire and contend with the Mets.
NL Central
– MIL Brewers -245
– STL Cardinals +185
– CHI Cubs +40000
– PIT Pirates +60000
– CIN Reds +90000
The only two teams really in contention at the moment are the Brewers and Cardinals. They are only a couple of games apart and the Brewers took first within the last ten games. These teams are neck and neck, and there is no lock in this division.
NL West
– LA Dodgers -400
– SD Padres +400
– SF Giants +2000
– COL Rockies +100000
– ARI Diamondbacks +100000
About two weeks ago, the stakes were much higher for the Dodgers, in a jam-packed division with two teams in genuine contention for their No. 1 spot. However, luckily for them, these two teams happen to be on pretty massive cold streaks, pushing them down the leaderboard. SF at +2000 is a bit of a stretch though, seeing as they still have 40 wins.
