Georgia vs Florida Prediction & College Football Odds for Week 9

by Ryan BurksOctober 29, 2021
  • The Gators give the Bulldogs a battle in this SEC rivalry game.
  • Georgia is able to survive to move to 8-0 on the year.
  • Despite great defenses on the field, offenses take control of this game.

The Georgia Bulldogs and Florida Gators will once again meet up in Jacksonville on Saturday afternoon to continue their terrific rivalry. This game appears to be a slight mismatch on paper, but strange things happen when these two teams meet up.

Georgia is now the unanimous number 1 team in the country, and they are a perfect 7-0 on the season. The Bulldogs are looking to take complete control over the SEC East Division by beating their rivals on Saturday.

Florida is not having a great start to the season and they come into this game with a record of just 4-3. The Gators have some serious flaws on the roster, but they will always be ready to take on the Bulldogs in Jacksonville.

Georgia vs Florida Prediction: Spread

Georgia is winning by more than 31 points per game, and that defense has been incredible all season long. The defensive front is allowing just 62 rushing yards per game, and that is going to be a problem for Florida to deal with.

Florida is averaging over 500 offensive yards per game, and they are going to take some deep shots in this game. The Gators have a solid defense of their own, but they want to win this game on the offensive end.

Look for Florida to hit on some big plays in this game, and that will allow them to keep this game close for a while. Georgia is eventually going to pull away a bit, but the Bulldogs aren’t going to be covering 14 points.

Georgia vs Florida Prediction: MoneyLine

Georgia has been so dominant this season that it is hard to see them losing a game at all. This rivalry has delivered plenty of surprising results in the past though, and Florida will be ready to battle on Saturday.

There just isn’t a ton of value in betting the Georgia Moneyline for this game, even if you do believe that the Bulldogs are going to win. Taking the upset on betting on Florida can result in a massive payout, and it is something that you should consider.

Georgia should win this game, but it wouldn’t hurt to make a bet on Florida and hope for the upset.

Georgia vs Florida Prediction: Total

The fact that both Georgia and Florida have dominant defenses would lend you to believe that this will be a low-scoring affair, but that won’t be the case. Georgia has been scoring points on everyone, and Florida is going to hit on some big plays as well.

The Bulldogs are going to build up a nice lead in this game, but that will force Florida to speed up the tempo on offense. It’s going to take at least 30 points to win this game, and the Bulldogs are likely going to score at least five touchdowns.

This isn’t going to turn into an offensive shootout, but there will be a solid amount of points scored. Take the over 51.0 as the over will just barely hit.
