  • Free Prediction 1: Edmonton will win the game
  • Free Prediction 2: The game will be under the points total
  • Free Prediction 3: Calgary will not cover the spread

The Edmonton Elks are trying to defend their home field from the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League (CFL). This is an intriguing Elks vs Stampeders prediction, as both teams are not having good years. Actually, both are ranked close together in their division. Edmonton is 4th, and Calgary is 5th in the west division.

Edmonton had their game postponed against the Toronto Argonauts, while Calgary lost a close one against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers. This is a division game, so expect a close match-up and both teams playing with a little more fire.

This will be a close divisional game that might pull this team out of a sub-par record. Now let’s go one to the lines, odds, and predictions for this week five matchup.

Betting Odds & Lines for this Game

  • Spread: Calgary -5.5 (-115) vs Edmonton +5.5 (-105)
  • MoneyLine: Calgary -260 vs Edmonton +200
  • Total: under 42.5 (-110) vs over 42.5 (-110)

Edmonton vs Calgary Prediction: Spread

Both teams are not playing their best football. However, both teams’ games have all been close. None of the teams’ losses have been over 6 points (besides Edmonton’s loss of 17 points). Also, the team’s one win has been close, so Calgary won’t make the spread.

We don’t even have Calgary winning the game, but it will be under 5.5 points. The game will be close throughout and should go to the wire. With a lot of turnovers (both teams’ quarterbacks have given up the ball) and mistakes.

Edmonton will play Calgary tough, just like the rest of the teams. We predict the spread will not be covered by Calgary because they lose the game.

Edmonton vs Calgary Prediction: MoneyLine

Both teams are similar throughout stat lines and everything. However, we predict the Edmonton Elks will get the win. Not because they are the superior team, but because they are at home.

These teams play again next week, and we’ll pick the Calgary Stampeders unless Edmonton wins by a blowout. This game can go either way. Both are similar in defense and have a lot of turnovers. However, Calgary does have the better offense, but this game can go either way.

Edmonton Elks & Calgary Stampeders Discussing Joint Scrimmages

The Edmonton Elks are trying to defend their home field from the Calgary Stampeders in the Canadian Football League (CFL).

Also, Edmonton has a top quarterback and running back (in yards), so we expect both of them to move the ball fairly well. Edmonton will have to limit turnovers, but so will Calgary. Actually, Calgary has more season turnovers than Edmonton.

Edmonton vs Calgary Prediction: Total

This game will be over the total points. The final score will be Edmonton 24 to Calgary 21. Both offenses have not been good, but we expect both teams to score over twenty points. Especially Edmonton with a top passer and rusher.

Also, both teams should have some short fields because of turnovers. Both teams will also blow chances to score because of turnovers. That’s why we have them scoring barely over twenty points.

Prop Prediction

Calgary has played two quarterbacks, and both have more interceptions than touchdowns. However, B. Mitchell has looked terrible with one interception and five interceptions. If they play, Mitchell will throw a touchdown and 2 picks (if Maiher plays 1 TD and 1 pick).

Edmonton quarterback Harris is third in the league for passing yards. So, he will have a game of 2 touchdowns, no interceptions, and over 300 yards. Wilder Jr. will have a touchdown with 100 yards.
