FanDuel in Tennessee and Michigan Thanks to Scientific Games Technology

by Evan PerkinsJune 24, 2021

Flutter Entertainment, the parent company of FanDuel, has some exciting news for the expansion of the company. Their existing partnership with Scientific Games launched their sports betting technology in two states.

The newest additions to receive the upgrade in technology are Tennessee and Michigan. Now, both states have upgraded sports betting applications and features for FanDuel that create a unique opportunity for sports betting.

Fast Launches Make Sense for Upgrades

Tennessee and Michigan both had incredible starts to launching and for their current numbers are still climbing. For example, Tennessee was the fastest state, at the time, to cover the $1 billion milestone in six months.

However, Michigan also accomplished the same feat, but got this done even faster. They reached this milestone after roughly four months of legal sports betting.

If these states are growing at this rate for sports betting, then this sounds like a great opportunity for both FanDuel and Scientific Games to take hold of the reins.

Other states that have included sports betting have flourished as well, but not at the same rate as those two states. Also, both states have room for growth, and FanDuel looks to capitalize on that movement.

Promising Growth Could Make Big Returns

In addition to the newest states to offer the latest technology, six more states are also part of the family. These include Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, and West Virginia.

This OpenSports platform is something sports bettors have asked for once they tried it out. As more states begin to implement this technology, it could lead to more growth in sports betting revenue.

Scientific Games has partnerships with other top brands in the business that provide the same technology but of course under different sportsbooks. Some of these include Betfair, Sky Bet, Paddy Power, and Sportsbet.

With this in mind, competition could become fierce among the sports betting market and the new line of technology available for bets. This makes it an interesting decision for FanDuel to make sure that their moves have to be strategically placed.

Positive Outlook for Both Sides

The markets for Tennessee and Michigan are growing rapidly for sports betting and gambling. It was a no-brainer to update to the newest technology here in order to continue bringing in customers.

Scientific Games performs to the highest level when it comes to responding to the call from businesses wanting to offer their customers state-of-the-art betting services. The partnership with FanDuel has become a brilliant move to maximize profits and to have player retention.

Scientific Games also boasts the best performance during peak times of the year for the most engaging sporting events. Having the reliability that fans want and need is crucial to this environment and Scientific Games delivers.

On top of that, debuting their technology in two hot markets shows that both parties are ready for the next step. Furthermore, this deal could provide an opportunity for FanDuel to continue rapid growth around the US.
