Call of Duty League Stage 2 – Week 1 Betting Picks

by Timothy KimMarch 18, 2021

Call of Duty League is one of the most popular esports leagues across the world. Some of the best teams assemble and form some of the most elite groups of players in the world to battle on streams watched by thousands. If you enjoy Call of Duty or even just competitive gaming, Call of Duty League is something to check out.

Starting Thursday and going into the weekend, there is a host of different matchups for Call of Duty leagues, and to make things even more enticing, you have the option to wager on these matchups.

COD League Wagers

When betting on Call of Duty League, it is always important to do a little research on the teams that are playing. Call of Duty league teams have videos you can watch via both streaming platforms such as Twitch and Youtube.

These leagues offer a best of 5, with each game taking place on a different map. Bettors have the option to wager on both spread, Moneyline, over or under on games played (rounds that it takes for completion), and finally, a prop bet on how the series will end, meaning you can predict a 3-0 win or maybe even a 3-2 much closer series.

Betting on esports may not be your thing, but after doing a little homework and evaluating the different bets, it is something that can be very interesting, especially if you are knowledgeable about COD.

New York Subliners vs. Atlanta Faze

New York Subliners +1.5 (+145) Moneyline +325
Atlanta Faze -1.5 (-185) Moneyline -500
Over/Under O 3.5 (-200) U 3.5 (+160)

With a spread this large, it is hard to pick a side knowing that one of these teams is so much better than the other. I do not see much of a reason to wager $500 on esports to win $100 god forbid it loses. In this matchup, I like the Over in games as it is a decent number that cashes as long as one team steals a game.

Pick: Over 3.5 maps

Seattle Surge vs. Florida Mutineers

Seattle Surge +1.5 (+145) Moneyline +325
Florida Mutineers -1.5 (-185) Moneyline -500
Over/Under O 3.5 (-225) U 3.5 (+170)

With a spread this large, it is hard to pick a side knowing that one of these teams is so much better than the other. Like I said earlier, I do not see much of a reason to wager $500 on esports to win $100, god forbid it loses. In this matchup, I like the Florida Mutineers to win by two games, meaning I will take the spread.

Pick: Mutineers -1.5 maps

Toronto Ultra vs. Los Angeles Thieves

Toronto Ultra +1.5 (-240) Moneyline +105
Los Angeles Thieves -1.5 (+180) Moneyline -135
Over/Under O 4.5 (+155) U 4.5 (-195)

With an over/under so high, I feel like leaning on the under is the wise decision. Now I fully understand that some games will go the distance; I feel that the likelihood for a lot of them to go five full games is unlikely in this series. When evaluated over and under, whenever it is listed high and with the necessary outcome of both sides going the distance, I usually lean the under.

Pick: Under 4.5 maps

Minnesota Rokkr vs. Paris Legion

Minnesota Rokkr -1.5 (+165) Moneyline -165
Paris Legion +1.5 (+-210) Moneyline +120
Over/Under O 4.5 (+155) U 4.5 (-195)

In this matchup, I am going to take the spread for Minnesota. They are the favorites here, and I feel that they are going to cover. This matchup is expected to go under, meaning Minnesota will need to get things done efficiently for this bet to hit.

Pick: Minnesota -1.5 maps
