by USA WagerMarch 24, 2021

Brooklyn at Utah: The last time these two teams met on January 5th in the Barclays Center in Brooklyn the Brooklyn Nets were able to win easily winning 130-96. Donovan Mitchell led the way for the Jazz with 31 points and Rudy Gobert had 10 points and 11 rebounds. The team lacked on both the offensive end.

The team allowed the Nets to score 55.9% from the field while they shot 38.4% from the field. The Jazz lacked support from the other players as they got crushed on the road led by Kyrie Irving.

The Brooklyn Nets team looked unstoppable even without Kevin Durant. The team also looks a bit different now as they no longer have Jarrett Allen and Caris Lavert on the team who played a big role in the dominating win against the Jazz.

The Nets now have a better weapon who can put up triple-doubles on any given night. James Harden has been a big part as the Nets look to take the first seed in the Eastern Conference. The Nets are 8-2 in their last 10 games while the Jazz have cooled off a bit, going 5-5 in their last 10 games.

It will be interesting to see if the Jazz can play against James Harden who is now in the East. It is also interesting to see what both teams will do with the trade deadline being this week.

The first place Jazz (31-11), and are 2.5 games in front of the Phoenix Suns who have not missed a beat since the All-Star Break. The Nets are (29-14) and are one game back of the Philadelphia 76ers who have dealt with injuries due to the NBA COVID Health Protocol.

Brooklyn Nets Playing Well Without Kevin Durant

The Nets have been playing well without Kevin Durant, which makes them the clear favorite to win the NBA Championship when he does come back.

Blake Griffin who the Nets acquired off waivers from Detroit also made his debut Griffin only played 14 minutes but should get a lot more playing time as the season winds down. Irving and Harden did their part as they were able to separate themselves by a little bit in the 2nd quarter.

The Nets won a close game against the Trail Blazers 116-112. Jeff Green and Joe Harris did their part in the win. Harden had a near triple-double in the game.

The Nets average 120.2 PPG, which is 1st in the league. They give up 115.2 PPG, which is 26th in the league.

The Nets will certainly need to add bench depth in regards to the defensive end. The Nets should have no problems with the offensive end as they have four players who average double-digits in scoring.

Can The Jazz Start Another Big Winning Streak

Last game against the Chicago Bulls, the Jazz came strong as Donovan Mitchell scored 30 points. Rudy Gobert added 21 points, 10 rebounds, and 9 blocks which is a career high for him.

The Western Conference leaders took a commanding lead in the first-half and this helped them get their second straight win after losing five of their last eight games.

The Nets average 116.8 PPG, which is 3rd in the league. They give up 108.5 PPG, which is 5th in the league.

The Utah Jazz will also probably look to add bench depth to their team as the squad has title aspirations this season. The Jazz have surprised a lot of teams and look to take advantage of the Nets who are playing without Irving in this matchup.

This team has a great supporting cast as six players on the team average double-digits in the scoring department.

Betting Trends:

The Nets are 1-4 ATS in their last five games
The Jazz are 4-0 ATS in their last four games at home against a team with a winning record on the road
The Nets are 8-1 ATS in their last 9 road games

Final Thoughts

The Nets will continue to be without Irving due to personal reasons. The Nets will have to rely on their whole team to have a chance against the Jazz who are back to their winning ways. Take the Jazz -2.5
