Three Money-Making Parlays for Wednesday Night

Life is not a free ride, and neither is the world of sports betting; you have to take losses before you make your earnings, but with this advice, you should find it easier to get off your feet.
Denver Nuggets +6 (-110) @ Phoenix Suns -6 (-110)
Yesterday’s series-opening win for the Suns was straight out of the script for a team that had just eliminated the defending champion Los Angeles Lakers, but their luck will run out tonight against newly crowned MVP Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets.
Denver controlled a fair share of the first two and a half quarters in Game One but allowed the Suns to go on a 25-7 run to close the quarter, putting the game out of reach heading into the final period. Phoenix is exceptional at holding a late-game lead thanks to their lethal pick-and-roll and one of the league’s best game managers in Chris Paul, and they made Denver pay for their mistakes.
I do not expect Denver to play as good as they did in the latter half of the third quarter, nor the Suns would still be able to gather as much momentum as a result. Look for Jokic to slow the game down as the Nuggets play better defense and shoot better than 14-40 (35%) from three as they did in Game One.
If you are looking to be on the over/under here as well, take the under. The teams shot well from the field and made 27 combined threes, and still barely hit tonight’s mark of 222.5. The action in Game Two will be much more deliberate and slower-paced, and the “under” fits the bill.
New York Islanders +1.5 (-250) vs Boston Bruins -1.5 (+205)
The Bruins are primed to lose their third straight and be sent home in six games after taking an early 2-1 lead against their rivals.
Boston has struggled on the attacking half of the ice, failing to average two and a half goals per night in the current series. The Islanders also beat Boston 5-3 in the season series despite finishing one game behind in the final standings and are one a 6-2 stretch in their past eight games.
The Bruins are primed to lose their third straight and be sent home in six games after taking an early 2-1 lead against their rivals.I expect the Bruins to find at least either two or three goals tonight, but it will not be enough to topple the New Yorkers. Boston has its fair share of injury problems, especially in the backline, while the Islanders have been playing a ruthless style during the series.
As previously mentioned, I am looking for at least seven goals on the ice tonight: this would favor the “over,” set at 5.5 (-130), which I have full confidence that Boston and New York will meet.
There is not a great return on the individual matchup, so if you want a parlay to throw money behind, put a lot into the over. I would consider hedging the spread as well but have more confidence in the Islanders covering than the Bruins doing so.
Detroit Tigers -1.5 (+146) vs Seattle Mariners +1.5 (-178)
Simply put, the Mariners are just not that impressive. They lost Tuesday’s matchup with Detroit and are going to get thumped again.
Chris Flexen will be on the mound for Seattle, and although he is 4-3 this season, his ERA of 4.70 is mediocre at best. Casey Mize (3-4, 3.34 ERA) will rival him for the Tigers, having allowed six earned runs in his past 25.3 innings or an average ERA of 2.13. Mize should rise and shine against the league’s worst hitting team in the Mariners (.208 batting average) and come out with an easy victory.
The Tigers themselves are pretty poor at getting runners on base, though they are slightly better than their Wednesday opposition— for this reason, lean heavily on the “under” of 8.5 (-110) in tonight’s game if you are looking to bet the O/U.
This game should be straightforward and an easy money-grab; do not overthink it, just put down the bet and come out on top a few hours later.
